Just finished a 288 ported work saw build, new oem piston kit. Base cut and squish band cut, final numbers are 100,120,80 with 0.027 squish. Comp is good pretty good without break in, will test it out soon

Not as good as what you do!
This test will be very interesting for me, AM piston had more compression. Musta been carbon deposits and ring seal it had. Now with oem piston kit comp is definitely lower but timing has changed alot. This will answer a question that's been lingering in my head for a very long time.

Compression vs port timing, which gives more power at what rate and how much. Obviously its a feel for me i cant describe or proof in papers, but running saws this long has given me some sense to "feel" torque, rpm and throttle response. I'll report back how it goes

So, if you bludgeon your way through the hardened steel of the inner dog to make a 5mm hole, you can fit a 372 style chain roller!

Also have to fashion a bit of an alloy chain catcher replacement washer to fasten the AV but that is just 3mm alloy flat bar in my case.IMG_20200728_093239.jpg

Hooray 288!

Looks great Adam! I find my std Alu chain catcher is a pain wheen noodling - and I've fugged up more than one oiler drive with tough gum noodles - your solution should solve that issue!
