A good 390 may beat that 064. This ones over half wore out, the bar is is 30", 8 pin in petrified White Oak with a logger filed full comp chain.
I think it would take a very good running 390 to beat it plus his neighbors is stock.

Also I have no doubt there's better running 064's out there,I built one that's in iowa right now that I think is ahead of this one.

I'd like to run the stock 390 that will beat this 064. It's very close to my 066.

So since this is a technical thread, lets talk about exhaust outlet size.

Saw has a slightly bigger stock outlet and did not like a DP cover.

This is strange territory Jason.

Funny how some saws really do not like a heavy flowing exhaust when ported

Sent from my non internal combustion device.
Since I changed my transfers the outlet has to be smaller, maybe from case compression or who knows.
Like I said it's not a small opening just smaller

I really just hate a 390,owned and ported a few and ran some but never liked how any ran and not cause there slow,I don't like the slinky feel, same with a 372

Never ran a 044 I like either though so maybe I'm screwed up.

Blasphemy!

Also, sounds like a 390/064 show down! Send em both to the CT GTG, and we will treat em both equal and see who prevails!

We also need to make Jason limb a great big field White Oak with about a thousand branches, and he will be begging for an 044 instead of a 660!

I can still cut timber all day with a 395
So I should have it limbed in a 1/3 of the time with this 064 over a 044.
Less than a pound different and a light year apart in power.

Jason, I will have to bring my postal scale to GTG, no way are they only a pound different!

And I think you will need a decent size limb before you see a speed difference.

Maybe we will do some testing at the GTG.

Jason,

If my 064 is ready, it will be coming to the CT GTG.

Try that 026 for limbing one day. You won't look back.

The 562 builds will be cool. We should synchronize them.
It would be cool to see em done at the same time Al, hopefully some free time arises out of nowhere for me to get some saw time in
