im gonna say with as small a muffler outlet as im running a maxflow wont hurt it. i can pull the screen and slow it down same as my 064 and 066
its the angle im opening the transfers that makes it that way but there strong and quiet so win win

Ive been thinking about the "why" your seeing better results with the 4700 coil J.

Mine ran very well with the 4700 until I put a Maxflo on it which makes absolute sense. More air, more fuel needed.

Iirc some had seen the fuel issue which was thought to be a rich condition but after some study turned out to be a lean fuel curve with the 4700.

You are at 800' right? I normally cut at 2100'. Do you have a Maxflo to run with that coil or maybe try without a filter? Just thinking the Mtron cant fully compensate for all conditions.
the updated coil hurts it just a smidge i believe.
starts better with the 4700 for sure, usually one pull cold.

Can you explain what you are doing with your angles on the transfers?

@Jacobj knows about this i believe ,think it was a common thing on metal flywheel saws .

I worked for a big logging company for several years- at the time their main landing saws were 038 Magnums running 32" bars with .404" chain. The 038 has a heavy enough case to last for years with .404".
