They are good runners. Just not sure it's worth a premium over a 390 unless you bleed stihl[emoji12]

I wouldn't sell a good 385/390 to get one unless you just don't want to tune it anymore. 661 just feels like a little different 390 to me with similar power.

I agree. I love my 064/066 for the balanced feel and its fast blocking with a 3/8 setup. I luv my 390 with 404 for noodling as its heavier and not as nimble as the 064 so both have their own places

I haven't noticed any issues at all with my hacked up 660. Balances well for me. But it does have a specific purpose. Not for limbing. Lol

When I go cutting, I take at least 2, sometimes 3 Stihls. See, I am biased. Lol
I show them all a little love. I enjoy running them all.

My 661's are generally ahead of my 395/5's but there is a exception to every rule.
I have 2 decent running 394's and a 661 here now and there mighty close.

So far we've not got any gains in small wood with the euro coil. I might upload some videos later.

I saw 13,600 on mine with euro coil. Limited for sure. Seems to run good. Will know more after work Monday

13.5k was the highest we seen with it not bouncing off the limiter. We'll upload some videos after supper.

This is 040 off the key with a 4700c from today,all mtronic though.

I swapped carbs with the stock one here. It acts better which means it may have a bad solenoid
