661 coils

Advanced so far it was making my tach go crazy once it was good and warm. I set it at 13.3k and then it was 12.9k and went like a limited coil.

Found this in the shop manual.

Not surprising but kind of disappointing for spending money on the European coil

On the bright side you can get rid of the carb solenoid dangling in the air box.

Its funny, I had 14,200 on my 661 for some time. Then, I couldn't get over 13,400 .....

All with the Euro coil.

Timing had the Euro ahead of the 4700, and the 4700 ahead of the 4701

There was talk at one time of putting the 066/660 flywheel and coil on the 661. Did you guys ever try?

I know that the flywheel fits because I have a 661 flywheel on a 660
The coil is the problem.

They will bolt up with a little work but would be upside down. Curious what that would do to timing if It would even spark at all?
