600/620p comes with large mount. The 620p comes standard with dual dogs as well. A lot of talk lately about he 6100 and I like it a lot. But I'm telling you, wait until Randy gets done with the 620p. It wouldn't surprise me if he had it running right with that 6100.
I'll see the results. The weight is another thing that turns me off on the 620. It would need to be lighter than a 44 with a wrap to be in the class to replace the 562.

The echo is plenty porky. But it can use large mount husky bars with a s clip spacer.

But it's just a lowly lil echo after all... :)

Never could understand comments like this. According to my notes...PHO and fluids:

562xp..........PHO=13 lb...............Fuel=22 oz..........Oil=11.83 oz..........TTL=15.11 lbs.
ms362.........PHO=13 lb, 3.2 oz....Fuel=20.3 oz......Oil=11 oz...............TTL=15.16 lbs.
cs600p........PHO=13 lb, 4.8 oz....Fuel=21.8 oz......Oil=10.1 oz............TTL=15.29 lbs.
cs620p........PHO=13 lb, 11 oz......Fuel=21.8 oz......Oil=10.1 oz.............TTL=15.68 lbs.
ps6100........PHO=13 lb, 4 oz.......Fuel=27 oz.........Oil=16.2 oz.............TTL=15.95 lbs.

Ready to use, there isn't as much difference as people think. Add double dogs to the 562xp and it's weight creeps up slightly as well.

If it's not lighter than the 044 like the 562 then it won't get used. I'd like to see one on a scale with a wrap and 24" bar.

Not just the weight alone. The echo feels like a much bigger saw, not as compact of a package. compared to the 562.
Yes, none of it really matters for part time use. If you want the lightest most nimble saw in this class it is not the echo.

Now if you start talking all out firewood killer.... That is a different story...

I'll try an get some pics 590/562 Friday.

Its not always just the total weight, its where the weight is. 2 saws the exact same weigh with the weigh distributed differently are gonna feel totally different.

For firewood the 6100 is a better saw than my 2260, but in a bucket or on a rope the 2260 is the better saw.

Different strokes for different folks

Exactly. A 562/2260 feels better than any of the others I've tried so far. I haven't got any run time on a 362 but it doesn't feel balanced like the husky or efco

True, depends on who is using the saw and for what purpose. I'm a firewood cutter. I often use my ported 500p to limb and the ported 600p to buck. Works great for me but that doesn't mean it's the best setup for everyone. I don't notice the "bigger feel" of the Echo while bucking but if I was using it to limb, I might. For me, it's about grabbing the appropriate saw for the job at hand and not relying on one saw to do it all.

I think some people are more sensitive to this "feel" thing (inboard/outboard clutch) than others.

We are all different. For example, I had saws w/o any AV, can't stand running them even for 30 seconds, yet I know people who run them all the time, and it does not bother them a bit.

Conversely, I'm just fine with rubber AV, but I know some people feel a big deal difference with spring AV, I don't really notice it much other than the saw reacting differently when you first put it in the wood.

Perhaps it has to do with my cutting style, I don't know.
