one you get thru firewood season with that 6100, I want you to come back to this statement, and either confirm it or tell us how the 6100 changed your opinion of the 562.:beer-toast1:
I believe the 6100 is the best 60cc saw on the market. Even though a 6100 is stronger, i believe will be much longer lasting, has better air filtration, far less known issues, and should have a longer runtime per fill up with the large fuel capacity among other possible advantages like its lower price I still really enjoy my 562. Im used to it i like the layout of the controls and how the saw handles. I enjoy having my 562 around and don't think that will change even though something better may be out its still an excellent saw that I enjoy using

Just a question but may be stupid but hey I want to know. Would running a richer mix make it easier to lean it out. Thinker right?
In theory, yes.

Some of those echo carbs have another passage in them. I know of 2 ported 600's that went pig rich after porting. And no amount of tweaking on the high side could keep them from blubbering.
Lol.

If the 6100 had better spikes and a large mount I would have got it over a 562. That stuff is a deal breaker for me. A 28" lightweight in small mount doesn't exist.

600/620p comes with large mount. The 620p comes standard with dual dogs as well. A lot of talk lately about he 6100 and I like it a lot. But I'm telling you, wait until Randy gets done with the 620p. It wouldn't surprise me if he had it running right with that 6100.
