True, depends on who is using the saw and for what purpose. I'm a firewood cutter. I often use my ported 500p to limb and the ported 600p to buck. Works great for me but that doesn't mean it's the best setup for everyone. I don't notice the "bigger feel" of the Echo while bucking but if I was using it to limb, I might. For me, it's about grabbing the appropriate saw for the job at hand and not relying on one saw to do it all.
I don't want to carry more saws than I need around. I used 2 today. 562 with a 24 and 046 with a 34. Would have only used the 46 but I hit something with the chain brushing out for the 2nd tree. I started the face cut and give up and finished it from both sides with the 562. My smallest runner I can use in the woods is 44cc. I have a 44 husky and 346 but they rarely leave the shelf.

Husky says 12.1 lbs, no bar and dry.

I don't think that would square with Randy's posted #s of the fueled saws. Both Stihl & Husky (and likely others) have posted wildly wrong #s on occasion. I think they once even posted an 044 was 13 lbs, NO WAY! They are 14 lbs even (+/- an ounce or two).

His weight was 14.38 on the 357.

On a lot of these hot days, but the time any of my saws run out of fuel I also need a drink break, so it all works out.
Ok..
There's that..

The 562 liked to kick my ass limbing and trimming..
I cut up 2 trees before the damn thing ran out of fuel.

This is my thoughts only. Run any 60cc saw you like the best. I run a 562 and all Husqvarna saws because of great dealer support in my area. Doubt half second difference in cutting times matters in real world. Mine was slowest saw in this shoot out, will not be selling it to buy a Dolmar, Stihl, J-red, Echo or Solo. Know most of people working at dealership and have always been treated right. Just my point of view.

I'd love to have all of them, but the 562 felt best to me. I like many features of the 6100 over it though. The clutch cover on the 562 is a PITA to me... It likes to hang up coming on and off during removal and installation.

Just goes to show what others have said about personal preference. I couldn't tell you the last time I stepped foot in my dealers door. I get more help from this forum than I ever could from him. All saws, parts, and supplies I buy online. But I hear all the time how having great dealer support is really important.

I had a 562 sold it then later on found a 357.This may seem wierd but I personally don't like a 562 they don't sound right to me its like seeing a tatoo on a woman doesn't do anything for me but turn me off.

Not to mention the 357 looks like a chainsaw made for a grown up. That stupid grey clutch cover on the 562 just looks...well, stupid. Like a kids toy.

I have a great stihl dealer. They give my kids stuff every time we visit. They went with me today with hopes of getting a toy. They have parts in stock usually so I support them. The husky dealer is a good guy but he's not stocking as much stuff any more so I order a lot of parts off line.

This post is not helpful...

"Grown up", "kids toy"...

Just not helpful...

Bottom line..
If you want trouble free trees on the ground?
With an inboard clutch? "As I do"
Dolmar or Echo is your saw...

If you want sheer performance and smooth operation?

562 or 357 is your machine..

Just pick and get on with it.

I got 2 of the 4..

Have run all...

I wasn't trying to be helpful. I was just giving my opinion. I realize there are many that love that saw and I respect that. Performance aside, I just can't stand the looks of the 562. Not to mention I have no love for autotune saws. But I sure don't want to pass any negative judgement on those who do.

Lol I know one thing I can keep my house warm and roast the best coffee in the world with any of these saws. I wish I could own one of each just to see which one I would sell first lol
But outboard clutches can be such a pain. Can anyone figure out why this guy is using the 576 over a 562 for these competitions?
