Hey everyone.
I have a 576 autotune that i built out of a bunch of parts..3 differents saws worth.. its mildly ported and muffler is opened up.. its a single opening tho. The saw ran great for 20 tanks or so untill it started overfueling.. the only cause i could come up with was the autotune carb so i changed that, then the saw ran good for two tanks and started sounding lean at idle..that turned out to be a leak in the main intake boot.. changed that and now the saw is back to overfueling again. The stator seems to have good output and i have checked everything i know how to. Is there a way to
Reset the autotune module? Any ideas or info would be much apreciated. Thanks

There is an 18v reset using 2 9v batteries but don't remember the details. Maybe Google can find the details.

Some ported saws will give more pull at the carb requiring the pop of pressure to be increased. It's typically noticed right away though.

I havent been able to find the specifics yet but il keep searching
This is from a thread on AS:

Connect 2x 9 Volt battery (18v).. red carb wire to +, negative to cylinder. Move the throttle 5 times through the whole range. This sets the TPS & takes it to factory default value.
The inlet valve will make some clicking noises when you do it, but thats normal.
The only know issue is if left sitting unused for a long period of time the needle can stick due to some two stroke oils.

So i tryed the reset with the 9 volt batterys.. it sounded better for about 30 seconds and then the same thing.. so im thinking maybe my stator isent producing power properly ? Or should i try a coil first? It has a grey coil on it , could i try a blue one from a 372, does anyone know if Theres a difference besides the rev limit ?

Hey,

you can put a Ebay China Coil with no rev limit in it.

No difference in power, unless the AT isn't working right.

Also, one of mine had the stator under the flywheel come loose and tear up the case and mounts; the manual carb installed fixed that one up.

So to update this, i put a 575 carb on the saw and was running it to tune the carb.. ran for about 5 minutes and the coil quit.. no spark at all.. a blue coil from a 365 and its running great :).
I wonder if the coil was having an issue that may have put the carb module into rich mode or something.. im going to try a different 576/grey coil once i find one and put the autotune carb back on to see if that was the problem.
