Yeah I'm waiting for that, par for the course. Honestly I wanted to run the same bar, "chains were new" but I misplaced the bar adapters so wasn't able to.

Made this video just because. I like both saws, and the 500i is too expensive. However it runs extremely well for being on it's first tank of fuel, the 572 is on it's 11th tank.

Any comparison of the 500 to your 462? That wood be interesting.

It's in the works, just need to find a good stick of wood. I also have a like new stock 7900 and a new 390.

The 500i may very well be a replacement for all of these saws, at least in theory.

I would like to get my hands on a ported 462 just to compare to my 460 more from the point of view of how much torque is has pity nobody around this area has one or a 461 for that matter

With the limited time I have on the 500i, one thing very noticeable is how usable the power curve is, you can be ham-fisted and it keeps pulling, acceleration is ported saw like, especially for a 80cc saw. One thing on the 572 is the acceleration is a bit sluggish, likely to do with the longer stroke and beefy bottom end, everything has a trade off. The 572 really is overbuilt IMHO.

Both of these have healthy muffler mods and the 7910 the higher rev limit coil from a 6421... but otherwise both are bone stock. The 572 seems to hold a little more rpm in the cut and the 7910 a little more torque.

Well I guess I need to get the tree service factory dual port 064 and the 500i so I can run them.

I don’t know how much stronger the 066 is over the 064, but my 500i will absolutely bury my 066. At least I think it will. The 066 runs an 8 pin rim sprocket (3/8”) so the chain speed is up there with the 500i but I do believe the 500i will cut faster.

Stock for stock my 064 was behind my 066 for sure and the 066 had more grunt and lugged better. I’m betting on the 500i over the 064. I need to put another 064 together but haven’t had time after selling the last one
