Gave some thought to that yesterday. Only 2 ways come to my mind on how they'd try that. Either more fuel, or less RPM's during a break in period. From what I've seen, the R's are still there. We measure break in by tanks, cause that's what easiest for us to count. But Husky thinks in terms of hours/run time. And as you know, they track hours minutes and seconds on those AY carbs. You got any ideas?

I was wondering like with the variable ignition if the curve to advance would be less aggressive and I wonder if it uses a richer map for acceleration maybe then cuts back leaner to achieve the desired max rpm. Don’t pick on me Bob, I am struggling trying to word it lol

Hey I'm struggling also. They don't really tell us very much about what's taking place. Half the dealers can't even plug the saws in.

Yeah they tell us just enough to make us wonder but not enough to get answers. It’s like being just an inch short to ride the good rides at the fair; now I know how Frodo feels @Adirondackstihl [emoji87]

Went down to the dealer today, handled them both side by side.
Couldn't tell the weight difference, 20'' bars, Stihl was nose heavy, bar went to the floor. Husky felt just like my 372's. I came away without buying, it was hard!
Omg don’t tell the stihl guys they might start posting here ;)

I liked the way my 562's ballanced with a 20" bar. I miss that saw model. If the 572 runs and feels like a larger cc version of it like several people are saying that sounds great to me! My personal plan if I can make good money again is to eventually get all three 70cc class saws MMWS Makita 7900 & 572xp and 462. I think there all really cool I would like to run them all:)

Got mine today too looks good overall.

How is the operator presence lever? mine is a bit wonky I have to say. It has quite a big gap and moves side to side, and down a bit too much IMHO. The orange plastic side of the handle does have a very sharp edge to it. I'm going to take my Dremel and around it over pretty good. No big deal, can't wait to run the saw as soon as I feel up to it.

No big deal, and after playing with the saw and handling it a bit more, it really doesn't feel that bad, you have to be super observant to really notice anything.

I'll try to post pics when I can but it takes a piece about 1 1/16" long hose roughly 5/16 od placed vertically in the rearmost portion of the op lever. Tension holds it in place just fine (so far anyway) The hose acts as a bumpstop to limit the down travel of the lever. That in itself is probably enough that you won't need to dremel the endge of the orange as your hand doesn't touch it anymore. I added a shim washer and retention screw on the pivot post but the hose helped the most.

I'll probably sand it down a bit anyway, but thanks for the tips.[emoji106]

I eased that edge around the presence lever a tad with fine sandpaper other wise it seems fine.

I found if you seat the top cover on the clutch side first that gap isn’t as bad. It’s a tight fit into the channels around the edges I bet it loosens up a little over time.

I bought a husky 20” bar and RS chain locally so I could run it over the weekend but I really disliked the bar so it’s going back a 24” tsumura should be here tomorrow and a 20 tsumura on Wednesday, thanks Julian.

That husky bar was super chunky. I got the dry weight on the pho at 14.8 on my not so accurate bathroom scale dry, and 18.3 with bar and chain.

Here's what it weighs on my pretty accurate scale, at least it always has been in the past. First with the stock side cover and single spike.

And my dealer was gracious enough to include the large dogs and large side cover, that was awesome of him, thank you very much!
