It is a shame a saw built in 1985 is more trustworthy
Yup I know exactly what you're saying. I put 1986 064 parts and a 162 top handle on my '92 066 Mag RL and is my most fun saw, but I'd never run it 8 hr a day with the new saws available today.

The loops shipping with the 572 here are C83. Same as c85, just .050 gauge.
That's good to know, thanks for sharing. If Husky wants to sell their chain over here they gotta offer choices.
Stihl did the same for years with their RS, but I don't think they sell .058 anymore.

I'm not sure across the states per say but Northeast Stihl still offers the .058 in the RS. You still come across some 058 husky's but like you said I think they were dominated in the area by 050 so most guys have switched all to 050.

Didn't know C83 actually existed yet, that's good to know. C86 for 063 probably exists too, or will soon enough.

But on this point I'm very surprised; expected them to be the usual $100 spread. At the discounts involved my selling prices will be $200 different between the 572 and 565 from what I'm figuring here this morning.

That will put a hamper on the resale of used 562s and 572s

That earlier post of mine turned out to be an error they had in the system on pricing. I think I corrected it at some point in this thread also. The actual price spread between the 565 and 572 is only $60. So, just the opposite effect is now in play. 565 sales are going to be a flop with everyone moving to the 572. They are doing this with the 545/550 and 555/562 as well.

So is the glass half full or half empty there? I don't see it as getting banged on the non XP units. More of real aggressive pricing on the XP's themselves IMO.

My two local Husky dealers can't tell me when they will get their 572s. I dont really mind paying MSRP as much as I hate not knowing when my saw will arrive. My dealers husky rep seems less than helpful. I owned a brick and mortar retail business 10 years ago. I try like hell to buy local from real people. It isn't easy.

I see, I'd say glass half full for the guys who currently own a 562. Half empty for the guys who work on the 565 production line lol

They aren't getting product in the mid west yet? Just guessing but...………

Not all warehouses got loaded the same as others. Northeast warehouse got stuffed pretty good, so we are fine. Could the Ohio warehouse be depleted already? Who knows; again, I'm just guessing here. IF that's the case, they usually don't fill the orders from other warehouses without getting the rep or customer service involved. Might take a phone call or 2, but it can be done.

Sorry I misunderstood you. I thought you were saying the saw had VP, then the dealer put pump fuel in. I personally have switched from canned fuel, to pump fuel in my 550 without any issues at all.[emoji111]

I hear you, my MS261C-M gets premium pump in the summer and canned in the winter. Never had an issue so far.
