Thats made me wonder too.
I have not been much on AS the last year, but I can't remember there was many threads about 545 issues there.
I didnt ask the mechanicer last time, bit there was no 545 there that I could grab, but 550 and 560 there was.

No stuffers , no rev boost and a little lower rpm ....i went to check out some info and found a post by Bob (Spike 60) put on AS. Another bit of info is 'How" and "when" rev boost works on the 550 and 560. You all probably know this ??. I still maintain that this 550 running thing (some ok ..some not) is not logical if the parts are ALL the same within the generations of saw and part of the final upgrade on the AT-12 from what I can see has put a new kit in the carb .
My reasoning on the situation is that ...the AT side can only work properly if the "hard parts" are ok to do the job . In my humble opinion. :)

Its a bit like the 555 & 562xp, many 555's have been sold yet I have never seen anyone have the problems folks get with the 562. They are both very similar saws.

first priority is that the hardware has to work propleby, AT can compensate for alot of issues, my opinion about Husky is that they suck big time when it goes to quality control.
550 is a very slim saw, I think it's easy to make one reliable bulky 50cc, but to make one reliable slim saw like 550 is far more difficult.
Most customers doesnt run to the dealer even if their 550 has issues, they only go to the dealer the day the saw is toasted.
But what if Husky had delivered one Dvd and cable with those AT machines where the customer can read of those value, shouldnt cost them much at all.

I think Brad ported one 555 who got the bog issue.
