ok so I have just bought a very very clean 2015 545. I bought it spares and repairs, I am yet to actually look at it but the seller has given me the low down that it’s got a clean piston and rings, revs up to the speed smoothly. But dies whilst trying to idle. Before I even get a chance to look at it are there any heads up ideas on where to look at. Tryna brain storm before looking it over.

Cheers guys.

Eff around with the air bleed adjustment screw on the face of the carb, try 1/4 turn counterclockwise.

So the saw arrived, it does not idle as the top autotune carb wire has been ripped out of the connector. Looks like this happened after a drop. A subtle drop as I have only noticed on arrival that the flywheel case around the carb had numerous cracks around it. Apart from that the saw is fresh as.. what do I do, send it back or spend a bit on a case and cable?

I can find a new genuine case assembly and wire for £160. Is this good or can I get them cheaper? Is it worth it if all in it will have cost me £300. For a very very new saw with a rebuilt new case??

Decisions and advice??
