Why gear these saws up in a way that they would never be used in the real world. A .404 8-pin it's about the size of a 3/8 9-pin. I'd rather see comparisons using a setup like they'd actually be used.

I think I heard Julian say he hated that saw LOL
I heard him mutter it about 2 dozen times to himself, and he also told me about 10 times !!

Ive got all of my 90cc saws setup with 404 and 36" coupled with 8 tooth rims ............... for stumping. Works great when felling and bucking also

Yeah, we ALL know what he Really thinks. lol I'm calling his bluff. heehee
Want me to plaster my next few posts with just my Huskys ?

To show potential torque of the 395. Bet it gains with the 8 pin. If it were used in the real world someone would never clean the filter, gas filter be clogged or they wouldn't keep the chain or tune as sharp as Julian did in the video. Not trying to make my post sound argumentative just being honest what I see when I've worked on a tree services saws.

I agree with going real world. I want big saws to have big bars and reasonable sprockets.

I'm not going to use a big saw to buck small wood, if I break on out, it will be for a purpose.
Thats why we ran 7 tooth sprockets in Ct.

I wish we had more wood so we could have ran 8's as well

Some use 7's and some use 8's. Both are real world, unless I'm living an unknown cartoon life

We're all going to have an opinion about it, but why complain about what someone else would like to do or see for themselves ?
