They good saws but not 900$ better than a 462. Lmfao.
It’s just Stihl’s in the pnw are in slim pickings, dealers are having a hard time getting them, for the past 6 months they can’t keep a pro saw on the shelf, they have 20 plus on order and can’t get them, and if they get any in there are sold that day

372 air filter win my vote. Maybe the stihl would win a hair bit, but it's air filter just sucks.
Yeah, I put a Maxflow on it after ~2 tanks for that exact reason. I had an epiphany today, a neighbor has a 461 with a 28 that he enjoys but the weight beats him down if he runs it for too long, if I decide I'm not too thrilled with the hybrid I'll see if he wants to test it out. If he likes the power to weight ratio of the hybrid better than the 461, I may see if we can't work something out.

Why not keep them both and add a larger more powerful saw to the mix? More saws is not a bad thing!
In order from small to large I have a PM6, MS250, 026, 350, 10-10, 562, 5-10, ported 272, 372XPW, CFB hybrid, SP81, ported 181, ported 056 Mag II, and 2100 x 2. I may pick up a flattie 066 in the near future too. Ideally I'd like to trim down the collection a wee bit, and 4 70cc saws is a bit excessive in my book.

I use to not be a Horder of saws, but in this new weird world we live in, at least in my area the new saws are hard to get, and used ones are going ballistic on price. I will be keeping saws as much as possible now, who knows if a used one will be affordable come next year at this time.

Wait ... you mean I shouldn't have an 044, 2 462s, 2 Hybrids and a 460???

I actually did move a 046 and a 460 along when I picked up the 462s. It pained me to do it, but how many saws can you use!

For the stuff I usually do, the ported 462s see the most run time. Glad I got them when I did!

Has @Red97 put this debate to rest yet? Think a stock 372oe is stronger than 372xpw 51.4mm. IMHO. Yes, I have owned and cut with more than one of each.
when i bought my saw was right after they changed the xpw to a 75cc saw my co worker had bought the same saw a couple of weeks earlier and his was the normal 372 oe it always seemed like his saw was better than my saw which is what prompted the 8pin in the first place. i have always been happy with that saw and in the beginning was disappointed that it didnt cut as fast as his saw did what i know now is that it cuts better than his saw with a 36 or bigger bar not that i would want that for normal use but my 046 has ran a 36 much more than any other length bar because it required much less bending for limbing while timber cutting... wow that was way more than i was planning on typing

it funny that you say that about pulling the trees to the right i have experienced the same thing i think it is because of the handle bar myself. i have used the line but was taught to use the handle bar as the sight originally.

The old huskys I have no issue with, I'm talking 480, 2100 series.
