357xpg build questions

Prepping to build myself a 357xp out of an xpg. The saw already has a regular handle on it and the wires are just hanging, carb still has heat element on it. If I remove the element and insulate both the handle and carb wires, will I be okay? Do I need to get a different carb?

I’d remove everything that’s easily accessible, including the generator behind the flywheel. I believe they all plug in under the carb floor
