I am a Ruger guy so......
The LCR is a nice light carry gun but can be a but of a handful and not very plesant firing full power 357 loads. The SA only5 shot SP101 with good grips is built like a tank and is a bit heavy for CCW but the weight tames down the recoil.
Unless you practice with a snub nose revolver regularly you probably won't hit squat past 20 feet. Especially undes stress. Buy what ever gun and ammo you intend to carry and practice when you can. If you don't like 357s in an air weight gun consider 38 specials or a heavier snub revolver. For a second gun consider a GP100 or a Security Six with a 4" barrel.
Years ago, I had a friend who liked a big muzzle blast and flash. He'd go to public ranges and clear the firing line, shooting a 4" King Cobra. My friend said if i miss the muzzle flash will flash will blind them.
Nah, gotta be fast burning.I would imagine so. With a slow burning powder and light bullet, I bet it has a bark.
I haven’t reloaded for mine yet. Hornady’s at 325 grain out of a 8-1/2” barrel is very user friendly and accurate.52 grains of IMR 3031 behind a 405 grain hard cast out of a 14" 45-70 contender. When the 500 smith boys start bragging i put a couple completely through their telephone pole backstop and 15" diameter trees. Recoil is brutal. Makes 44mag look like a pop gun.
I raffed at how far it rolled away lol. Best answer for adding more transfer ports
Josie had at least six, two on his belt, two shoulder holsters & two on his saddle.View attachment 272915 Now that’s a two gun plan.
They made a nine shot as far as I know. That’s what mine is, Ruger single 9I love my ss colt Anaconda 6” .44 mag. I wouldn’t want to carry it all the time though. My brother bought his wife a .22 mag for cc, I think that was an 8 shot ruger.
