So far we just bolted them up and ran with stock uber quick tuning the way an Ebay customer would, I am happy with the results for that use.

stock shmock my good man, PM me an addy and I will get one out to ya

do you remember how long ago you got the 200T carbs from me, the first batch from farmertec were flawlessish then next batch had 2 (maybe 3) out of 100 that wouldn't tune properly, the batch from Zama seem fine, but sales are slower now that there are more vendors selling them and maybe the bad batch from Farmertec/Huztl slowed the market for them as well

Get me an address and I will send you a pair to try out for the ol 66 and your projects

thanks guys you rock
Dave

Dave, the 200ts were ordered back in Oct of 15, not too long ago. boxed in Farmertec packaging.
PM imbound on the addy

I'd like to see if one will modify the same as a oem, I could sell a pile of them if they will.

Dave could you get zama to recreate the bings?
I have never seen one, if it is a matter of measuring the orifices and matching them up to current or recently past carb body/housing then it is easy, but they aren't going to create a new housing for small run production, at least not for less than full oem prices and much larger guaranteed minimum orders.

I have an MS660 carb enroute from Asia. I plan to just plug/n/play on a mostly stock 660. Are these carbs different than what you are getting in now? (got it from Huztl)

I sell a lot of Farmertec stuff but not a big fan of the carbs, most come from Hunai. Builders working on ported saws have given me the thumbs down on the 360, 440 and 660 hunai carbs for any non-stock build and they don't seem to ship with the basic number of turns pre-set. Not a big number of returns or complaints, but at one point or another 6 builders gave me the spicy middle finger in regards to one or more of those models.

Since Stihl purchased outright the wholly corporate owned Zama factories around the world, the remaining franchised Zama plants are seeing less of the carburetor assembly work and I found one willing to work on better clones of carbs they don't produce under contract anymore, even though they still produce some or all of the component parts required for assembly in house. The 026 flat top was the first Clone we did and they sell like wild, no bad ones out of 250+ sold so far and some reports of better than oem performance, and since the oem isn't still easy to get, it's a win, win. I have seen several other vendors selling them now as well. The HD16 and WJ-69 clones are a direct response to sub-par aftermarket copies of the 440 and 660 carbs. I had the 272 Husky carb cloned because I thought it would be a big seller but I don't sell nearly as much husky as stihl stuff so though I have no complaints on them they aren't a big seller.
I have no idea if they can do a nice version of the 346xp carb but I am going to send them one after the holiday.

all those words and I didn't really answer the question - I wouldnt expect the FT carb to suck but I really hope mine are better :)

I pulled apart the MS660 carb that has caused me grief in recent times and cooked that sucker in the USC for about 4 heated cycles. Figured I was either gonna fix it or kill it trying.
Got it back together and went to the wood yard and cut a mess of cookies in red oak with it. Worked perfectly. Idled stable, revved up nice, four stroked out of the wood, cleaned up in the cut, four stroked when lifted, idled between cuts.
Seems I may have fixed it... I still needed a spare 660 carb anyway so I don't regret purchasing one. I'll report on it after I install it.

I really like the 44 carbs. The c3m zama is nice after some mods to it on a ported 046.
Can I ask what mods you do on the zama?

We get it .............. we're all guini-pigs .................. we'll let you know what we do to them and how they are running

Thanks DD !!
Why ya gotta say Guinea?

Dave,

I haven't tried the 194 knockoff that I modded yet. I noticed that the main nozzle is set much lower in the Venturi than the OEM Walbro.

My 024/6 wasn't running right and I started eliminating variables. The carb possibility was removed by a new OEM 194. My initial fire up was with your carb that I opened, and the throttle response and RPM seemed really good.

Have you gotten many positive reviews on this 194 clone?

I'm planning on some back to back testing this weekend. Yours vs. 194. If this god damn snow doesn't muss muh up.

So far lots of good things but nobody to my knowledge has really given one the crazy-Ported torture test.
Let us know what you find out and if you need more carbs to play with certainly let me know

Mopar,

Maybe you'll get your Irish ass over here on Saturday for a beer and some cutting.

We'll hook a 28" on my 024/6 project and show Mr. Piltz how it's done.
