It's 99 119 78.5 and right on 200lbs
Very good numbers

95 on the exhaust will get you your 24 degrees of blowdown that you mentioned wanting earlier.

What are these saws doing in the wood? After all, that's where it really counts. At nearly 6 cubes, these saws are going to be running long bars...36" +/-

The 056 top end on an 064/66 bottom end is 6 cubes: 6.012 CI, to be exact.

Interesting. They both loose RPM's deep in the cut. They both seem to shutter in the same spot on the wood. The 064/056 seems to lug through it a little better than the 066.
I guess one could look at it like a big block V8 versus a small block V8. Lower RPM Torque versus higher RPM's horsepower. Some cases torque is better, some higher RPM's are better. Thanks for sharing all of this Jason.

I assume all things were equal on the saws. Same rim and chain.

I wonder if there would be a difference if you ran both saws with a 3/8" bar and chain? Probably get a few more RPM's from both. Not sure if it would cut faster or not.

My saw would be farther ahead with 3/8
It has rpm. The 056 has more tourqe but I don't see how that beats rpm.
That's why there's the combination of rpm and tourqe called hp.
Tourqe is awesome but without rpm all you have is a slower saw.
I'm back in it looking for a little rpm now

If you can't get the rpm you want, a bigger sprocket will achieve the same thing. No?

The .404 skip square is way easier on the saw over the round i have tried ,you are right it is very hooky that rs off the roll ,very grabby .
I'm not trying to be easy on them,I'm trying to find the strongest saw I've can make.
If I was working it would be skip all the way

Do you think they are that far apart?

Mine is 3 second faster in a 35 second cut
That's less than 10%.
For it to be that close is good,I don't have one that will be that close to it,that's the strongest saw I've ever ran so to be close is pretty cool.
The 056 will only turn 13.3 no load and the 066 will go close to 15k and that's a insurmountable deficit,if it would tune around 14k it would be hard to beat.

I'll say again that it's running against a retarded strong 066,it will be ahead of all my stihls but this one. I'm gonna sick this 066 on my 395 now, before it couldn't have handled it but it's closer now.

Without a doubt if these to saws tuned the same the 056 would be ahead, I'm scratching around looking for a few more RPM's. Compression is a little high but I'm gonna try it with one ring,I'll loose 5 or 10lb and pick up 500 rpm just by doing that, these rings are stiff
