Is it Ready for the Big Bar?
I'm to afraid of the piston coming apart to turn it any faster than that,if I take any other saw I got and turn it down to 12k this saw will clobber it but will it gain a couple thousand rpm faster? It should and we'll find out tomorrow.

So does it only effect no load tune? Or is it also weaker in the wood ?

It tunes just like any other saw,it just stopped at 13.4,I'm not talking it stopped 4 stroking I mean it stopped as in no more rpm. Put a stock muffler on and at 1 and 1 it was 4stroking at 14.7

Well we need to find one that will stay together.

I guess a TS700 piston would be bad too?...

Either OEM or does Meteor offer?

A aftermarket 056 piston should be here tomorrow.
The piston in it ain't no good, the pin bosses are sloppy and the ring grooves are beat out.
I'm not kidding when I said the ring gap is 070

I believed you the first time.

Considering how Hard it is to source another good piston, I was asking if other Stihl offerings might be an acceptable alternative.

Not that I have found.
I thought I was going to have to use a 395 piston but thankfully thereis a aftermarket one.

I'll probably raise the exhaust when I change the piston.
Maybe a little bit more intake
