So Jason, are Dual port mufflers good or bad? I know they are louder but it seems you can open the regular outlet to the deflector, and still have a decent gain?

Or am I wrong lol

Absolutely there good.

When I say it had to much opening I'm talking about 2 giant holes,200+% minimum.
It still has 2 big openings, probably still bigger than most run.
It has the factory side port opened almost to the front of the muffler and a opened up dp cover. More the better 99% of the time.

So you would not be afraid to add one to a 064 or 066.

There couple dual port designs, I wonder if port location makes a difference.

I've never had a problem with exhaust outlet size until this saw so if it's strongest with the front cover off that's how mine will be.
Most every saw will gain from opening the muffler.
Hell a good muffler mod and ignition advance is a big gain on lots of saws.
How big is the opening on the 661 is ported? Big ain't it?

Plenty big and strong,

I guess it is easy for one go experiment with dual ports just by trying an aftermarket cover and enlarging the stock outlet on the side. If it runs good it runs good lol
