I'll dig through my junk this week. I know I have an extra 3120 carb.

I may have found one that will work. I have been talking with Mike Lee and just got off the phone with Alan. So now I have to call Jason and relay everything. So I will let you know JJ! Thank you though for the offer.

So now I need a carb too?

#%^**^#

Well,
I guess there's a bright side: I do have a P&C.

Meow

I may be able to get two of the carbs. So stay tuned and I will let you know.

I'll know in a couple hours if I for sure need one.

I got the piston down under .2 and now I'm basically re porting it.

Am piston was shorter so I had to knock 030 from the base,so now I gained intake which it needed but I gotta raise the exhaust.

No you don't. Just dropping the base to reset squish shouldn't change the exhaust or transfer timing.

Yes I do.
The crown height is 030 shorter but the skirt is the same length so I picked up a bunch of intake. I'm leaving squish at 027 so I don't gain more and it don't need more compression.
I'm putting a wheel on it now to see where I'm at but I'm thinking 80 on the intake will be close

That sucks, you want to keep the intake as short as possible to keep the crankcase compression up to feed that big cylinder.

What is the reason for using the 056 jug? There are lots of 56mm big bore jugs available for the 066.

I have a good 056 cylinder here, and am considering installing it on a 066 case, but it sounds like a lot of work.

Hey Alan, I'm sure the reasoning for using the 056 cylinder is that they want to use OEM instead of using the Chinese big bore.

The Chinese BB kits I've used have had horrible timing. To get the exhaust duration in check you end up with too large intake timing and have to fill the intake with epoxy.

The 045/056 cylinder and pistons are all domed. If you use a flat top piston then you'll need to take a considerable amount from the squish to make good compression.

Do you or anyone ever hear from or see Dennis? It's to bad that he left the forums. He had so much to offer.
I'll have a chat with him soon if I get a chance. But I'd be willing to bet he got tired of the ignorant arrogance and bullying by a certain few that will obviously never stop. Some bitter people I tell ya.
