I'm just starting my research into this, have HATED that I couldn't "experiment" w/ my cs590 (jugs/everything are too expensive & only OEM), then I saw a Youtuber w/ this MONSTER cs590 73cc's like 7 or 8HP just insane, anyways I'm hoping to get thoughts here, as said I'll be effectively getting every bit of info from elsewhere I can because I have every intention of moving-forward if there's no "you are incapable dude" that I'm missing, but I haven't been able to find one yet --- but sadly the most basic part is what I fear will stop me: The simple mounting of the jug.
I've been surprised finding just how interchangeable, say, a cylinder or piston is from 1 brand to another, clearly "common sizing standards" are being used (intentionally or ad hoc) by the OEM's, anyways am curious if anyone can tell me whether it is/isn't a bolt-up situation (the super long stroke, relatively speak, of the 590 would make it an awesome candidate for over-boring, no?)
Thanks a lot am very eager hearing about this because frankly the ubiquity of both 590 powerheads, and 440 top-ends (and 660/661 intake boots, as apparently after time his unit was taking in air so he up-sized the horn to a 661's, this is years-into real usage!!) Youtuber is Dyno Joe, have been finding a LOT of great stuff from him (had no idea that proper tune had as-significant an effect on HP as it does, the charts are staggering would NEVER intentionally put "kinda rich" fuel in a powerhead again!)
