Sure you dont have the smaller piston in the larger bore?
There are 2 different top ends for these.

Just throwin that out there.

Too lazy
I haven’t changed anything from stock. Haven’t even taken cylinder off saw yet

Yeah a big thanks to everyone for the help. Now I’ve gotta find another coil for it and a new fuel line cuz it is on its last leg anyway. I need to get these 044 parts listed for sale or trade

Take a good look at the plug wire. They wear thru and short out at the upper AV mount on that model.
I’ve actually been playing around and swapping some coils and looking at the originals coils wires and such plug wire looks fine but the little wires had some spots in them The original coil shows a good spark with plug grounded on outside but want start saw. Put the one back on from my 036 and starts every time

Someone on here has a used one there a dime a dozen then buy new lead.post add.maybe like to get in line on 044 stuff

I’m gonna do some more playing around with these coils. Something doesn’t seem right if I can get fire on the outside (it’s a pretty bright blue spark) but want start the saw. Hmmmm.
