Any chance of a recent video of this saw cutting now at her
final tune, if you have the time, it would be a good comparison.
Am I right in saying there is some smoke off this saw as she cuts in the above clip.

Thanks
Pretty busy tomorrow but I’ll try over the next couple days. Yes it smokes, I run 32:1 oil mix ratio, smoke don’t bother me at all unless it’s coming out of a 4-stroke lol

I look forward to it, is 32:1 your go to mix or just for these modified weapons.

As requested here’s a new video of my 262 @Ford3000 . Tuned by ear to where it was safe after a long cut in this seasoned Sugar Maple. Not sure if you’re familiar but it’s a very dense and tough hardwood. Saw still isn’t broken in, 6 tanks through it so far.

Here’s where it safely tuned too. Checked with a tac after a cut just to see where it was at. Tac never came out until after I tuned it and cut with it.

XP_Slinger, thank you for posting, really nice sounding saw, good to
hear your work, I once recorded a saw into a DAW, the waveform
is quite informative, shows up any spikes, shows your response and
any misses deald spots or surges, you need a good mic and daw though
so no clipping occurs that could mislead, builds a nice image like an oscilloscope.

No problem bud, hope it’s been helpful.
