mink oil..................Obenauf’s oil.
After one application the boot with the mink oil looks better conditioned (left side of pic-right boot). Mink oil/wax applied by hand and the Obenauf’s applied with the applicator. I’ll let them both dry then apply another coat. I’ll try rubbing in the Obenauf’s by hand too. These are older Red Wing steel toes I use cutting firewood.

I put Sno Seal on boots, knife sheaths, slings, belts, anything leather. Apply, hit it with a heat gun, and roll. Awesome stuff.

I also have sanded down some old rifle and shotgun stocks to bare wood and applied Sno Seal to wood, hit it with a heat gun so it soaks in, re-apply multiple times until the wood won't accept anymore. Rub it off with a towel and done. It highlights the wood grain yet doesn't have that shiny glossy look of varnish sealant. My rifle as a kid (bought by my granddad) was a Marlin 30-30 that had some rough looking wood that had been beat to hell and back, probably behind the seat of an old beater. It is one sexy rifle now, over 35 years later.

I’ve always used birchwood gun wax on my wood stocked rifles and leather slings. Until now I’ve never heard of sno seal.

I have an old Remington pump rifle that I got from gramps.
