That 2r is a good oil and combust well and keeps the rings clean and if tuned properly it will have a black solid piston crown because I have actually inspected what each of these oil will and wont do including this R2. My question is other than your comment that u like it, how do u honestly know what its doing inside your saw? Just curious?

Pulled the muff a few times, and peeked up her skirt. Make sure is not getting all plugged and soot'd up.

I tried a few bottles of HP2 before switching to 2R, pours so damn thick when cold. All the oil went right to the bottom of can, really had to shake can to get it to mix. Temps under freezing, never used it in warmer weather. Take it for what it's worth.

I've thought about the same thing about mixing oil or even mix more on top of what's in my can. Kl200 says not to mix with petroleum products. Not sure why so I don't [IMG]

I hear u. I felt that way about 800t being thick and hard to mix and best I remember r50 was that way. H1r is very thick and coked pretty quick

Most air cooled oils take abit of work to mix in cold weather. Oils like 800T, R-50, ST, etc are very tough to get to mix at all in temps below 30. A few weeks back it was around zero here and Red Armour was thick as honey. I took the bottle inside and let it warm up for a day and it mixed fine then. Had i just dumped it in the can and filled with gas its likely it would have never mixed fully. R-50 in the same conditions would have been even worse.

In what situation would r50 perform best? I've bought some when the other was out of stock and didn't run it long enough to see anything. But super techniplate turned to wax everywhere when tested 15 gallons of it

Pretty sure the local motorcycle shop will have R2 and K2. You’re the only one who suggested k2, others have said it was good.

But how are these in the mtronic saws?

Milling is all I would use it for besides racing maybe. I used a quart of it up but it was kind of rough for fumes if the wind stopped or you were down near the ground milling
