The cylinder will be similar. Same 2" bore. Porting may be alittle different but the oil tank is specific to a gear drive.

Long story short. Yes, the cylinder will work using the pm700 oil tank.

I don't mind letting you and @USMC615 make the call on that. I was so caught up in a panic over the cylinder that I never considered asking the guy with the cylinder if he has any nos or near new clutch covers available.

The piston is in good shape and so are the rings, but since this is a nos cylinder I feel like it would be appropriate to at least re-ring it.
It also needs a new fuel line and set of crankcase seals.

That's very kind, Cole. I also would like to, per the agreement between Jim and I pay for the parts. I cant stop anyone from helping though! These are special saws, sure cant wait to be the spectacle it deserves to be.
