Unfortunately I read once in a post of his it was big money to do, if I'm not mistaken. I've been wrong before and seem to be regularly these days...Isn't @Lee H a U.S. Chrome dealer? I wonder how much it would be to have the cylinder re-plated? Would be nice because you could do all of the port work and bevels first, then have it plated and it would be better than OEM.

Jim...has this saw had any port work or otherwise done to it?Does anyone want this pm700 for 400 bucks? View attachment 169431 View attachment 169432 View attachment 169433View attachment 169434
It's the same guy I'm waiting on the callback from. Maybe I can sell the saw for him to sweeten the deal on the nos cylinder.
The history of this saw is unknown to me prior to my ownership. A friend of mine knows I fancy anything of a vintage nature and I picked it up after giving it a pull and it had pretty fair comp. That is all I truly know. It was in nice shape and I couldn't say no.Jim...has this saw had any port work or otherwise done to it?

Are you referring to the project saw, or the saw I quoted in my response and question to Jim above (the $400 very nice condition Pro MAC 700)?The history of this saw is unknown to me prior to my ownership. I have located a nos cylinder for 75 bucks and I'll be picking it up as soon as possible.
