Which light weight bar did you get?

I have a 25" Stihl light 06 bar and a 25" GB hard nose here and the weight difference is 310 grams. Thats a bit over half a lb and nothing about that GB bar is light.
I was thinking about getting the ES light bar, according to specs of it vs regular ES bar its a little over a pound lighter.

Here’s something to consider. Here we have a 24” Oregon powercut bar weighed next to a Stihl 28” es light. Both are 3/8 .050 gauge.

I’m assuming the saw has been bought already, the light 04 and 06 are just the new versions of the standard bars. They can call them light because they are 10-15% lighter than the old ones because of thinner profile and modified tip shape saving weight. The true light es bars are 17 oz lighter than a regular in 20”. Also my vote is mtronic all the way they are still carbed saws just has a fuel solenoid to adjust it. Pretty easy to fix don’t really even need the mdg1 set up to do it.

For what it’s worth on the bark box, I had one come apart on a saw I bought used. The welds cracked. I put a Jason Egan muffler on my 462 and it’s loud AF, but woke it up some. I did put the WCS fallers kit in it and it helped stiffen things up a little. I use the 462 the most since it is light and powerful. Hope you are enjoying it!
