Harvested my garlic patch today. Some very large bulbs included in the batch. Placed on 2 racks and have a low speed fan directed on them for drying. All had a real nice paper outer layer.

IMG_4607.jpeg“New” used clutch on baler. I had welded that one together to get a field done

IMG_4605.jpeg2 new belts onfertilize spreader

No pictures but my 1486 ih I mentioned needed a clutch. Got back around to that today. Called my guy asked him a few questions and took some measurements. He told me what to check out. Turns out the pedal adjustment has a clamp to hold it to wherever you adjust the pedal. Clamp came loose and pedal moved. Adjusted back to specs. Clutch feels great.

856 ih wouldn’t start right. New starter button was hitting tach occasionally. Got all that straightened up. Baler still in shop getting new goodies. I’ll add a picture when she’s done

I've got to the point of keeping cheap nitrile gloves on hand for a lot of that type of stuff. I know they won't last very well, but it makes the cleanup so much easier.
I just started doing the same. I just haven’t trained myself to actually put them on and use them. I do like em though

Had to try a medium sized bulb. Had 4 cloves to the bulb and tasted like shiz. You wouldn't want any. It can still use a couple of more weeks drying as the exposed stalk is very moist. May as well let the bulbs pull that flavor back to the cloves. I sure this harvest will disappear mighty quickly.

Congratulations Mark, hope you get more. I bet that just got sucked right up!
Yes it did Larry
Next day was dusty
Didn’t seem to help much
Lawn is brown. Instead of mowing twice a week I have mowed once every two weeks
There is not going to be a second cutting of hay
Idk what we’re going to do. Can’t afford to buy hay so I guess we’ll have to sell half the cows 🤬

How much are they getting for hay over your way ?

Sorry to hear you haven’t gotten more rain, this week sounds like it’s going to be a rough one according to the guessers.

I hate to hear that Mark, we have been getting rain, and you guys aren't. Makes no sense. Praying you get rain. I have no idea what the price of hay is. Last time I bought it was $3 a square bale. That was 4 years ago. I know everything has gone up a lot since then. I think 4x5 rounds were $30. Not worth the shipping.

Get your hay ready?
Good week to cut, temps in the 90s all week and 13 hours of sun per day. Mine is down, cut it Sunday. Lots of weeds in mine and trash tree saplings. So the extra drying time is great. Will make squares Thursday and put them up Friday. Me and my two farm hands will get it done.

My farm hands!
