When momma's away the boys will playSo I’m finally getting to these. It’s been a while... Sorry @ Ryan Browne and @Sleeper.
This one is getting a complete rebuild, it’s been in a box for a while, and needs a good cleaning.
Lemme know if you need help putting the cases together

Getting an itchy throttle finger... can hardly wait to run my 262! It may end up being used more than the 372...
Just clean up that cruddy area a little and slap some paint on it. I'll be okay with that.
As for crud build up, yes... it will eventually get dirty again. Kind of hard to keep a saw perfectly clean when it is being used. You can get it close if you blow it off with compressed air or a pressure washer every now and then. Me, I usually gently scoop the crud out with a piece of plastic.
Ok, I’m sure the casting is saturated with oil, and won’t hold paint long. Anyone have any ideas to get it clean enough for paint?
use TSP for a decreaser/soak. Tri sodium phosphate. Nitrle goober grabbers a must.
I D plates are easy to change,Google is how I discovered this.
