Same forecast for me. I’m a good 1/2 hour north of Dan. I just bought a small kit with gas and a torch for brazing and light welding. Looks like I’ll have a little time to play with it. We typically close the shop when it gets bad. Nobody goes out in a snowstorm looking for bicycle parts. Lol

I’ve got the parts. But I’ve been working way too much. Just wrapping up today, I’ve been going since 6am...
Gotta work tomorrow too [emoji19]
I’m hoping Sunday I can get to these.
I just got home a few minutes ago. Left yesterday morning. Hoping to get some play time in the barn this weekend, have to clear a spot for a new toy

What is the new toy? I just picked up a NOS PJS half pipe for my vintage jetski last night. Of all places i found it in Detroit in one of the really bad areas from a guy that had no idea what it was or what it fit. After I happily bought it for his steal of a price i told him all about it. These were all the rage in the 80s and 90s on kawasaki 440s and 550 js/sx skis. What a score now i just have to machine the manifold adaptor as they are super rare as they cracked frequently.

Good morning Dustin. I can’t wait to build my own!
Loving your thread Dan! My first one I built blind. I think I kept asking Rattler, Tor and Bryan Plush questions. My second one will be built soon and I know a whole lot more now. I traded my third one so someone else can enjoy it! Thanks Dan!

Morning Dan, I sure love the 2 I have, I think they just have a feel about them
They do. Love running my 372 for the feel it has but there is something about rotating a 262 on the dog through a round and seeing major chips flyin' ... It's awesome.

262 just has a nasty attitude. The 120 carb one I picked up off of craigslist for Eric suprised me. Good torque for 60cc and really simple to work on.

Next project is to rebuild my 87. Hopefully tomorrow. Gotta get ready for GTGs.

Yes im making a whole new manifold adapter out of aircraft aluminum. With some small changes like changeable water injection jets. That will make it a more tuneable pipe. Luckily i have a cracked one i can use as a template.

They are very simple. The 120 runs fine on them especially not ported. I have a MOFO 262 and it's my favorite saw. I put 1 of them Husky elastostarts on it, makes it a lot easier to start for us old folk!!! I've got another that's got a good platform for building. And yes Dustin, I got that NOS 262 cover. Plan on putting it on the 1990 builder. KS cylinder, 87 carb, and MOFO port job. Life is good.
