If you have a good 50 and a good 70 there is no need for a 60 IMHO.
Not a need but depending on the job conditions and size of trees the 60 cc is sometimes my sweety. If you have big jobs using mostly 50 and 70cc an compact and strong 60cc is perfect for backup of either 1 .

462 walks in and throw everyone off the boat:rolleyes:
Yes.

All it took was the manufacturers to make 50cc saws the size of 60cc saws and 60’s the size of 70’s to be impressed by a 70cc saw that was the actual size of a older 70cc saw.

Right now, I think the 562 or 6100 are your only new options to compete stock.

I love my 361.

If I could get to oil better, I'd love it more, but it got two new warranty oil "pumps"

I have a 562xp and my neighbor has an older 361. Both have 20" bars and both are stock. We cut a bunch up of blow downs a while back and ran both saws. We were both using Stihl RM chain, that I sharpened.
The 562 felt slightly faster in logs up to 16". The 361 seemed to pull better when you buried the bar.
I wouldn't feel cheated with either.

Here are the parts you need. I converted mine.
1128 647 0602 oil pump piston
1128 647 4803 oil pump control bolt

both are about $35 total

Or the whole pump 1128 640 3250 full oil pump assembly Was around $90

It oils like crazy now.

Send your 361-2 here for disposal.
I own all but the 362c. I have ran the new ones in Mtron 362 ported and not.
362 has a bit more grunt because of the hollow muffler.
All 361-2 need a muffler mod. That said....562 is right there with 6100 the best bone stock imo.
Later 361 jugs have more volume but less of everything else. I'm crossing some early parts with some late parts and some other parts to get a 59cc frankenbeast. No need for fifty or seventy cc saws. Limbing and small tree felling wif a 20", 361 please. 24"362 please.
Mtron built port 361 is being considered here.

What’s the dry powerhead weight of new 562. My requirement for 60cc powerhead is under 13 pounds or I would just use a 70cc

It's a somewhat difficult comparison I think between a 590 and 362 considering the difference in stroke. I'd just say use a longer bar on the 590. I personally wouldn't use more than 20" on a 362 mainly with how it oils, but I get the feeling I'd want a bit more power for a longer bar. A stock 590 is not it, but would handle longer better in my opinion without testing.

A 620p should be comparable to a 362 I'd think, but I'd guess a 562 is the best option just because of how close a 55oxp mkII comes to cutting with a 362.

I really have no interest in the 60cc class for any cutting I do. I want a super light and strong 50cc, and a 90cc, and maybe something in between (70cc).

A stock 6100 wasn’t any faster than the stock 357xp I compared it to. It did have a bit more grunt, while the 357 has more rpms. I do hate the small bar mount on both of them. Medium mount stihl or large mount husky I prefer. The echos take a odd and inconvenient bar mount. The 590 has great torque for bucking, but it’s not as responsive for limbing and topping as some. 60cc needs to be good at both.
