Here's mine. It was built by a guy here in Oregon who went on to sell the design to Logrite. I've pulled some big logs with it. Need to replace the hand winch with an electric though.

Yes defiantly another good thread in the making it's too dark too take a photo of my arch
I was searching yesterday for a design for a trailer for my bandsaw and came across this brilliant design for straddling the bandsaw no need for a loader

That's pretty cool. My mill is trailer mounted. I sometimes wish it wasn't to make loading easier. It rarely leaves my house. I considered placing it in a trench so I can do just that.

You could also put some ramps for working on a car or truck on either side of your mill or build your own to get you to the right height if you don't need much more. Just a thought.

I am fixing to take some trees down here and hate to just block it all to fire wood but this little machine won't be moving too much with out assistance.

Mine is the low tech, low cost design, but it works for it's intended purpose, and it had to be something I could slide mostly under the ATV and still fit in my 5 X 8 trailer, so it was "purpose built" for that.

Also, since my upstate NY property has been / will be logged, nothing exceeds 20" any way.

The trick to it working correctly are the pivoting angle irons that keep the log centered, w/o them it tips over around sharp turns. We lift the end of the log with a timber jack, and purposely the end of the log drags as my property has some steep hills and I don't need the log pushing me down faster.
