Many members on this site will agree with you! That model was the first chainsaw I ever used on my grandfathers farm so they hold sentimental value to me .

Besides evilbay, is there a place to find a new piston fir an RA?
I have a NOS cylinder.

Rings should be no problem.

Thanks uncle Lee! I built that one about 8 years ago and still have 5 other nice runners so I will never have to run this one, just nice to gaze upon it occasionally.

Yes sir that baby is nice I love it, man I'd give internal organs for one of those chrome scripts. Nos that's sweet.

It took a lot of searching, I missed one just before it that was a buy it now on eBay but then found that NOS one in Ontario. They are really difficult to find in one piece used,even more difficult to find a NOS one. I was very lucky!

took findin 4 ras for me to get one. well used, but in one piece & cleaned up ok.

Fat Alice lost her spark. I got it back by polishing the points. Now has a weak spark and runs but shooting ducks (ignition miss).

Bad condenser? Spark jumping on plug wire? Coil (ugh!) going south?

I thought these RAs were bullet proof.
