I have a question.......

You can delete or edit your posts......and that is not gonna change.

I asked our Admin about users being able to delete threads, and he said that has not been an option. My user controls are different.....so I didn't know how it was.

If anyone ever wants their thread moved, or deleted they can contact me.....

I think if you say something, you should have enough balls to stand behind it. I'm not a big fan of deletion.

I say let people either delete or edit their posts, but not threads. Once a thread is started and people contribute to it it starts building information. One person doesnt have the right to erase everyone's comments, or the good information they provided. however control over ones own words and thoughts is something I think should be allowed.

Long story short only moderators should be able to delete threads, but members should be able to control their own content.

I've seen a lot of good reasons to want to delete a post. I see every post as moderator......even what has been deleted. If you edit your post......I can see the edits. That's one reason I say I've seen good reasons for deleting a post......double posts......incorrect posts.......dumber than dumb posts......etc. lol

I personally think threads should be fully editable and deletable. There's been times I've written something and read it later and realized it may not come across as nice and have edited what I wrote. For instance if Dave the Defined gets sober and re-reads his posts, do we have to save them as is for the next decade? So I think a poster should be able to delete their own content.

I have made a mistake or two when slightly inebriated,,,,,, And felt like an AzzClown and deleted stuff I shouldn't have said before,,, at a previous place,,, and stuff!!! Just sayin

OMFG!! Somebody did something wrong... on a chainsaw forum?!?! Is that even possible?

I was involved in a bar room brawl once.. blood, teeth and guts everywhere... broken chairs, bottles... fistfights, knife fights, gunfights... then it turned really ugly. Somebody mentioned chainsaws.
