3 saws with bar and chains, $2000...
the embarrassment from pinching all 3 in the same tree...
priceless!
I can live through the embarrassment, but only one saw, WTH!!!

If you plan to put a Sugi or a GB bar on, the slots come from the factory "longer" than a Stihl Bar.
Probably ought and get a couple sugi bars..... they make a 16 in 3/8 x .050 bar.... will end up with an 18 for the cost probably.

Sent from my non internal combustion device.

One power head 2 bars generally accomplishes the same thing. And is cheaper.

Cutting by yourself teaches you good skillz.
Generally what I do. Bars are cheaper than powerheads. Plus, I never pinch a bar. ;)

BUT, That is no fun!! I explain to my wife, need to have an extra to cut out the saw that gets pinched, then if that one gets pinched, need another, etc. That's my plan and I am sticking to it. Even if I never pinch one, wedges are cheaper, but no fun either.

I just say "what if one out of gas?" I'm just sticking with that one for now.

I just get the bar that fits the saw. Check out www.woodcuttersgaragellc.com for good prices.

BUT. Still no fun. Don't write this crap, my wife may read that!!!!! lol

Lmao, just because I know these things doesn't mean I tell my wife about em.

Generally she doesn't bother me. She knows I bust my effing ass for what I have and most all of my fleet of un-needed saws were
funded by flipping other saws in the hobby. This is a a relatively new hobby for me (collecting far more than I need)
She'll call me or send pics if shes out and sees a saw she thinks I might be interested in.

We're moving to a new rental, with lots of trees and wood to cut for a big out door boiler.
Landlord was kinda blown away by my collection hobby of un-needed saws.
He says well I guess you can't use the excuse of "my saw won't start, I can't cut wood today"

I said yeah no kidding, if I were to try that with my wife she'd ask which one of 5 or 10

My biggest issue is what saws I'm going to bring with. It wasn't a big deal when I had one ported saw, but now that I have 6, with 2 more being done and 2 waiting there turns. It's getting hard to decide.

Thank you Mike! Also thank you again for the work that you put into this saw. Especially the hour and a half drive that you and your boy took to get the machine work done for it.
