HL Supply's Raisman chain

Nope....but its obviously a generic copy made in China. What chain it is copied from is the info we need and some feedback from those who know chain and have used it. OEM chain here is quite expensive so finding a good cost effective chain is a challenge. I bought a roll of GB evoII .404 chain which is a copy of carltons .404 semi chisel and its been good. Its not on par with .404 Stihl RM but a about 1/3 of the cost it definately has its place in the market. Some of the fastest cutting lo pro chain I have used has come out of China but it stretches near out of pitch and the trade off of softer metal is it does not hold an edge as long but can be ground sharper. Interested to hear from those that have used this 'Raisman chain'.

I never liked stihl chain, I always run Oregon or carlton but recently got a bunch of old sandvick Windsor chain and wish I had more.

I've bought several raisman Platt pistons off ebay. There good and incredibly cheap.
I gave 14$ for a 372 piston shipped and it was a good piston

No, but most AM generic chain is. It would be good if it was US made and cheap!

Bought a Raisman B&C from HL Supply seems OK other than I do not like the hole left in the bar and not plugged, as chips get in there in the cut and get the bar stuck in there.(Don't ask me how I know) Will probably just put some epoxy in there and call it a day. Maybe @Gentleman could talk to the folks making these about it?

Good question. They do have a factory in Brazil and say the carb kits are made there.
The chain is made in China. I know the manufacturer. I have tested their chain before and my local customers liked it. They said it is comparable to Oregon.

I saw you had 3/8LP listed as full chisel. Was that a misprint or is it truly full chisel?

Lots of Chinese chainsaw chain has been used by anyone who has ran WoodlandPRO, Carlton, etc. It's just the way it is. The early stuff was pretty pathetic, but the current stock is about on par.

I jqist installed there 25inch 3/8 hardnose on my Stihl 290 I'll talk some pics of the noodles in the am. For the price 38 on sale it lools pretty good

I have bought a few of the Stihl mount bar and chain combos to put on some flip saws, but I have been on a Husqvarna kick here lately and have not been able to try any yet. I am interested to see what the consensus is here about the quality of the chains. I don't really cut much, mostly just test cuts after a repair or rebuild, so I couldn't really offer any real world experience on them.

They have a 3/8 lp in full and semi chisel. I could take a photo of it to verify on Monday if someone can remind me.

The first Raisman chain was made by TriLink (same company that makes chains for Stens, Laser and a few others) and was terrible. I never bought it.
This chain is made by E&S. They are one of the best in China. I have tested their chain a few years ago and my local customers really liked it.

Apparently, E&S was talking about a $300 CNC chain grinder at GIE, but I can't get anyone to respond to me. Also a $300 depth gauge grinder? Maybe you have better connections with them, and can find out more?

I must admit that I bought a whole reel of Raisman chain last year and I have had no complaints from anyone who has ever used it That includes me. I bought .325, 063 for all my Stihl 028 saws and 026 PROs. They don't complain either. Best buy in my book.
