Picked up a marine, crate vortech 350 that had about 15,000 miles in it, was put in new tot a square body, they were upgrading to a big block Chevy, and I picked it up for free, going to clean it up and run it in thr blazer. It’s a solid runner, it was a 315hp rated, should be decent with the five speed. IMG_3899.jpeg

I got a couple puzzles done on the FranknTruck
Rad support finished and reinstalled. Fit the rad in it to make sure the install would go easy.
Got the steering connected. The Ford shaft had a section that was the right size for the GM shaft to slid inside. Cut to length and installed. Will have to clock the stearing wheel eventually. Tomorrow the rad support mounts will get welded onto the frame then the motor package will get installed into the frame and a final test fit of the complete cab and rad support and rad to make sure all will live together.
I have decided to use the complete fuel system from the original frame. Gauges and tank switch will all work. 6D3817AB-8E06-460E-BF84-5A9AA905D607.jpeg6D3817AB-8E06-460E-BF84-5A9AA905D607.jpeg

Got the front end all set. Offset uppers, 1.250 stabilizer bar, adjustable strut rods with rod ends, flat rate springs, new spring saddles with bearings, corrected lower arms, new corrected knuckles, already had the disks and studs from a few ways back.

Negative, that is a parts truck with a fubared C6 and trashy body my brother acquired so he could dump it's motor into his Highboy. My truck is the Yella Ferd, the red one is my brother's. Another one of my brothers is working on acquiring his own bumpside, so soon there'll be 4 in the fleet. The prospect is only 2wd, but I know of a few 4x4 frames, an extra t-case, some extra driveshafts, an extra front axle, and most if not all of the other necessary bits for the conversion.

And then there were 4:

Ran across a guy parting out a rolled 99 2500 with a 24v 15 minutes away from me and after a bit of haggling I came home with it! No trans or t-case but everything else is there. It was the primo model with everything, leather seats, wood grain dash, etc. The dash is still intact as well as other stuff but the body's fubared. I'm planning on cutting the roof off, gutting the interior, tearing the body off, and pulling the motor so I can drop it in Yella Ferd. I'll steal whatever parts my Dodge and my neighbor's Dodge need and sell off the rest to offset the cost. Plus, I still need to find/acquire a 2wd 47rh.

Are you going to P pump it or run the computer?
I'm gonna try to make it run standalone with the electric pump, supposedly you connect 5-10 wires and it'll run without a computer.
That's one helluva cab crush, did you find any body parts in it?
Nope, from sitting in it I'd say the driver was another 360 away from getting a free neck adjustment, though.

Chop chop! In spite of it being a Milwaukee product a few minutes with a sawzall took the roof off so I can assess what I'm saving.

Looks like that back seat still has some mileage left in it...

I haven’t figured out an asking price yet. Definitely entertain offers.

That's a dandy-looking project. I wonder if it ever hauled some bricks of hashish over the border?
