Is that your bumpside?
Negative, that is a parts truck with a fubared C6 and trashy body my brother acquired so he could dump it's motor into his Highboy. My truck is the Yella Ferd, the red one is my brother's. Another one of my brothers is working on acquiring his own bumpside, so soon there'll be 4 in the fleet. The prospect is only 2wd, but I know of a few 4x4 frames, an extra t-case, some extra driveshafts, an extra front axle, and most if not all of the other necessary bits for the conversion.

@3browns , how is that new printer treating you? I’ve been told we need one, wondering which Eco-tank you bought and if you would again?
Hey Gary

I bought this one

It was $199 American at Walmart

It is as simple and basic as it gets and lacks a few bells and whistles

There is no FAX capability and there is no USB port for a flash drive, and there is not a document feeder, it is one sheet at a time

The big draw for me is the Eco-Tank feature and the dirt cheap ink

I have had a number of HP all in ones over the years and the consumables will break you financially and buying rebuilt cartridges is almost guaranteed to fail

It came with 4 big bottles of ink and filling the tank is so simple even I can do it and a set of bottles is about $30 American

The iOS app for my iPhone and the Mac OS app for my macBook work flawlessly and the print quality is pretty damn good

The reviews I read said an average home user would get at least 6 months on a set of ink refills

Honestly for what we do it is enough for me; although for someone with a home business or lots of schoolwork or something I would look for another Eco-Tank model with a feeder and a few more options

YMMV

Yep! I've already converted my highboy to power steering, power brakes, and front disc brakes, and I'm planning on doing a 24v/zf5 swap with a/c mixed in there. Maybe a 14 bolt disc brake rear end too, and eventually I've got to weld up all the holes, paint the truck, and start improving the interior. A working radio would sure be nice, eventually..... Once I get it whipped into shape, I'm gonna start hounding a buddy until I get my grubby mitts on something a little more your style:

Most hated mower to work on or warranty by where my wife works, they were told by husky they had to handle the riders, z-turns and snow blowers if they still wanted to sell saws. Needless to say they weren’t disappointed when they discontinued a bunch if not all of it.

Cross members under the bed is another thing

Exactly

Would it bother you that I have 2 back up cameras in the dually ?
You are pretty much saying you don’t need a truck
So why do you have one
Nothing bothers me, have ten backup cameras if you want. Believe it or not, trucks can be used to haul things without a trailer, back when trucks had beds, and not the flat trend out there now. I am sure someday, one of the flatbed truck owners is going to realize that a bed is more useful.

How old of stuff you driving? ABS and traction control came out in the 90’s
My 1995 has abs, the 1981 F150 doesn't. I never said I didn't have that stuff, just that I don't like it. Ever driven on ice with abs? May as well not have brakes.
