Thanks all. Fires still moving. Side job yesterday, may be the last cut for this 288. Flywheel busted some find seized up, not sure the cause. But a sentimental saw from a friend who died. It was beat when I got it, and I did many jobs with it.

Sorry to hear that Norm, was a good saw I bet.
All saws can be repaired but at some point they may not be worth the cost. Although I myself would fix/ repair one with sentimental value to me at any cost, just the way I roll but I can do all and any repairs myself keeping the costs somewhat low.
