Also know as: Devils Garden

I've cut a *s-wordt ton of firewood off the gardens. My dad took us up there as kids and after my service in the USMC I moved back to Alturas and cut for a living up there. Nothing like putting down a 12 pack at 5AM cutting juniper on Devils Garden. Those were the good old days.

Gave my new MMWS 261 a bit of a workout today, two Cherry trees (approx 16"), a Red Maple, some smaller stuff, and removed an evergreen and a telephone pole.

The little saw seems to be well matched with the 18" 3/8 square file.

Those seem to be great saws! Especially with a lil monkey business, bananas, doctored up..etc!!

Yea, I'm very pleased with it. Dropped another Red Maple with it today, the diameter was the same as what the 18" bar was capable of cutting.

Red Maple is not the toughest wood out there, so the little saw ate through it with no problem. If it was Hickory, I'm sure I would have preferred something larger for the bucking, but this little saw is very versatile and is getting a lot of use!

Today's Red Maple, any larger and that 18" bar would be a little short.

Unfortunately, was covered in vines, including PI, and I did get a bit on my wrist.
