Been meaning to get a new blower for some time now. I'm an Echo fan and I found a refurbished store return PB-250LN on Fleabay for $110.00 free shipping so I ordered one. Anybody have one of these? I'm just going to use it for sweeping the driveway and cleaning grass and dirt off the tractor and riding mowers. If it as good as my Echo chainsaws and weedeaters then I'll be a happy guy for sure!

yeah i got one they need a muffler mod or a older muffler from a pb 100 put on and the cap over the high speed mixture screw removed.
these blowers have a catalytic exhaust so they can be hard to start.
they run better after 6-8 tanks.

Thanks, will remember that. My SRM-225 and CS-400 have cat mufflers, however I can't tell any difference in starting or performance versus the old models.

the pb 250ln is known to distort the plastic around the muffler due to the excess heat the cat produces.

The PB-250 showed up today. Other than the fact that the box had been opened before I can't tell it from a brand new unit. All the hang tags were still on it, all documentation was included, no dirt or signs it had been fueled. Started it up and swept the driveway of some soggy grass clippings that had accumulated. Out of the box, the PB-250 is at least as strong as the ancient McCulloch I have been using, I think it will get even better as it breaks in. This machine is advertised as a low noise model, and has the LN suffix in the model number. It is a bit quieter than most blowers I have tried but not by a huge amount. I live in the country so this is a non-issue, but if you really need a quiet blower this one may not do it for you. I really like the throttle lock feature, it cuts down on fatigue from keeping the trigger squeezed. Overall I am quite pleased for $110.00!

I got the Echomania bad, now I'm scheming to get the TC-210 mini tiller also. I can justify it to the wife by saying it would keep the flower beds looking good, also I could use it to grind down molehills.;)

I put the tachometer on the PB-250 today. The specs in the manual call for 3000 rpm at idle and 7000 rpm at WOT. After sweeping the drive and cleaning off my riding mower to get it good and warmed up, my tachometer reads 3400 rpm at idle and hovering around 6800 rpm at WOT. I like the way it runs and those numbers so I'm going to leave it there for now.

I'd run it for a while , it'll take 5-10 tanks before it's broke in .
