My biggest gripe about zero turns has always been that most of them are big and heavy. I see that Hustler now has a smaller 42" cut series called the Dash, equipped with Kawasaki engines. I'm thinking I may get into one of these at some point.
I have a Hustler 54 with 692 Kaw on it .

Freaking love it

Another spring is upon us and I'm getting all the mowers ready. I'm repoing my Craftsman push mower from the sister in law, she has had more than enough time to get a mower of her own. This is one of the last good ones to wear the Craftsman name and it's coming home to stay. I'm planning to do alot more push mowing this year for exercise so it is going to get some mileage!

Agree 100%. This one is made by AYP and surprisingly good quality. It's pretty heavy, the engine has a 1" crankshaft like a riding mower.

Eventually I figured out how the Aussie Blade happened for me.

We lay the blade down beside near the mower and simply grab it and swing our hand under the deck and spin in the bolt.
..leastways that's my theory!
Never got to the point of actually running one upside down.
I always have spotted it when I went to tighten the bolt.

Now I have pulled a couple of starter ropes with the plug wire still off.
Yep. Quite an old habit of pulling them off before putting my fingers on the deck.
...could be just one more reason I prefer rear facing cylinder heads.
Mostly prefer rear facing cylinders for the easier turning balance of a push mower though!
