If I'm not mistaken, that is an Asian market Echo. They have been out for awhile, they pop up on Fleabay occasionally. Did the dealer say he is going to get them regularly, or was this a one time deal?
Not sure. I havnt been to dealer yet the BIL Was there. Will find out when i make it ther.

Its heavier then a 490 with about the same power and probably less torque. My dealer said he won' stock them cause he doesn' see how they will sell sitting next to the 490. Strato saw so I guess if someone has a hard on for cleaner emmisions they might pick it over the 490. Also clamshell if that matters to people.

Sounds good. Awhile back I did some research and concluded that the Oregon 3/8 rim sprocket for the older CS-4600 is a direct replacement for the .325 sprocket on most of the 50cc Echoes. I bought one, I'll get the part number off it when I get a chance.

Our local dealer has a promo event first weekend in March where you can demo saws. They had the 4510 and the 2511 top handle.
The sales rep said the 4510 was there competition for the MS 250. I was not impressed with it at all. It was very bulky. Although not as heavy size wise it looked as big as a 590. It just looks cheap and weird. The 2511 was a different story however. Lucky they didn't have any to purchase yet or I might have one.

Competition for the MS-250? Geez, they need to aim higher...

Well, I guess they accomplished what they set out to.

Yea not to lofty a goal there with MS250. If larger and more weight with the Echo 4510 sounds about like the same scenario with MS251 taking the MS250 slot. The 251 looks odd and bulkier with more weight or at least when I've compared the two (MS250/MS251). At least the Echo CS4510 at 45cc and 3.0hp is a higher performance than the CS490 at 50cc and 2.9hp. Noticed the one Echo dealer here mentioning that he preferred the power of the 4510 vs the 490 after he has ran both.

They sell a ton of 590s here because its a nice farm type saw at a much better price point than the farm boss or rancher. The 4510 and the 251 specs are close. 4510 may be a little lighter. Price point is similar. It is a clamshell with a spur drive sprocket. I don't think they will pull to many away from the stihl dealer with this one.
Gizzard where do you find the hp rating for Echo saws?

I may have been confusing earlier, but was meaning one of the Echo dealers on OPE forum here...not a dealer local to me here in KY. I posted a link to that thread a page or so back. That dealer after running the CS4510 mentioned he would rather have this saw then the CS490 due to better power.

Hmm, .10 horsepower is pretty much nothing in the real world. You could probably gain more than that with a little carb adjustment or trying different fuels and mixes. I hope the 4510 is a good saw, but I would rather have the proline construction of the 450 or 490. As said before if they are trying to attract would-be MS-250 purchasers they seem to have succeeded.
