well i have been using the cs2511t on almost just palms and wow whata great saw.... it does load up from the fibers on pygmy date palms but all saws do.... yet to do any oaks.... it flat out gets it.... i have never enjoyed a top handle as much as this one....granted its tight clutch area will mean keeping it clean a must so it will oil the bar.... but my god it has it all.... im tempted to sell my cs 330t and a few other saws and buy a 2nd one... i like it that much... 4 hours today and left or right hand no fatigue .....and it has a sweet power band.... i am very happy with this saw so far.....just an update.....

a lil more update love the saw but the airfilter not so much after some hard use it was pretty dirty no big deal.. but saw some super fine dust inside it seemed really really loose so alot of trial and error different o-rings grease i settled on an o-ring around the carb intake ring i will call it... and to me it seems tight next clean up will tell the story.....here are some pics....

Whole new thread . So i was bored tonight and my shop is all clean etc. figured i would look over the recon cs 310 that followed me home for 150.... still had receipt it fired up but i could tell the carb needed adjusting... peeked at the piston before anything exhaust side clean,,,, pop off the cover the air filter is pretty dirty saw was really clean... mech shop report saw ran ruff till warmed up bad gas....i look inside air filter its dirty inside and out..... im like i better look at this side of the piston its perfect.....so i went ahead cleaned it all trimmed the limiters and will get it right tomorrow..... i am by no means a small engine mechanic i wrenched my own stuff for about 25 years and have learned alot from all the forums and trial and error....But wow these guys doing the checking on saws for resale at depot bro if you dont catch a dirty air filter but wipe the saw clean your a POS. in my book....i also popped the carb apart and checked the screen and gaskets... since it has great compression im sure once i tune and mod it it will be trouble free for years....so in the future i will be more careful about checking the recons over....now my cs 490 i dont think it ever saw any wood... "EVER" clean like i bought it new... it said new sticker on the tag....Im just shocked these guys do it for a living....Guess i am old school....Ya all have a good night....

Prices on them are all over the place. I think alot of sellers count on buyers not shopping around.
That is some wishful thinking! These Dam Echos are every where.

I found out my local HD sends all returns to a local shop known for quality work. Plus if there returns they should be on the discount shelf.

they were discounted but the filters were dirty on all but one.... that says who ever they send it to in my area is piss poor....the out side was clean air box and filters dirty..... its not hard to put the choke on blow it out the clean the filter.....i mean really dirty.....your average person would run it and they way they run lean it would burn up.....

I had to ask cause at the time one authoised dealer was closed and the other is rude and couldn't find their ass with both hands.

The place they get sent to here is a John Deere/ Polaris/ Stihl / KTM dealer that has a couple locations across the state.
