Negative, I clean my filter once at the end of the day.

Same here. Hell, I only had the standard filter on my 044 and it worked fine. Keep your chain sharp.

I also ran a 25inch bar on a ported 361. Have to mod the oiler for it to work decently, tho.

660 is more practical & easier to live with once sorted out and you don't need to be super man to start it. The 395 is more fun for me :)

Were you saying in your vid with the piston slap issue that the 395 cylinder had T30 bolts in it?

3/16" allen head 1/4-20 bolts. Just like an OEM.
Someone in the Facebook groups was calling it a coarse 6.5mm thread. Several people replied the same way you did above but I don’t think he could wrap his head around the rest of the saw being metric and cylinder bolts being SAE

Lol...coarse 6.5mm thread...aka 1/4-20. The Facebook groups are definitely a good source of mis-information.

Depending on where the folks are from, they can be solely metric. Even here in Ireland I have to order nearly all my non metric tools from the UK.
They simply do not do much imperial stuff outside of NA and the UK any more.
So, ya put a saw from a metric country in front of them with 3/16 bolts and they start to wonder what's wrong with it instead of just using an imperial tool - which of course they do not own, some having never seen one in their lifetime(though ya really should at least have a 3/16 and 1/4 if you are wrenching on Husqvarnas).
One of the reasons I use Bondhus t-handles, despite the quality and how well they work, is they are color coded for metric and non metric, as well as torx.

Had to purchase one of those bolts for a rebuild. Could not find a 6.35mm x 20 hex head, had to settle for 1/4x20. Seemed to work. Hard time getting it running, checked everything more than 3 times, vac test, spark, fuel and compression, person used his Dremel on cylinder. Asked @huskihl if his grinding caused a problem, nope, should run. Tried different carb, flywheel, reset air gap, had spark, no fire. Was going to try different cylinder, but switched coil and it fired second pull. Kevin, thanks for your help.

Yup, I saw someone saying they needed a 4.5mm allen key.

GM likes to use studs for intakes, ac compressors and alternators that have a 4.5mm hex end on them.
5.5mm head screws are used in HVAC cases all the time too. Normally mixed in with some t15 and t10 screws just to make it more confusing..

Try cutting burned and/or decaying wood all day...filter loads up with fines no matter what your chain looks like. I used to run a 044 and 460 at work. I would normally prefer a foam filter in those conditions, but being able to wash it isn't always easy, so they had stock HD2 filters. If I was running tank after tank of fuel through them, I'd occasionally tap the filter out.

The air injection style set up on the 462 that I use now is so much better...that's the main reason I didn't pick up a 500i at work, even though I had the option. I personally own a 500i, but I put a max-flow on it early on.

About $100 here too. So you’re getting hosed a bit

I went to these and basically never clean my air filter.

Nice vid! Thanks for that.
Do you modify that dental contra angle gearing any or just use them until they die?
