Agreed. I've already seen an 046 Mag with a muf mod at a GTG clean the clock of a new 462. Yeah, I guess the 046 must have had a sharper chain on board. Burp!

They are talking about a 462, but it's only a 72 CC saw

72 cc. Larger bore, shorter stroke than current offerings, but the same 6 Hp rating as a 461 (76.5 cc).

But comparing a broken in muff modded saw to a new bone stock one will usually not go well.

Brake in can make a big difference in saw performance.

One could make 6hp at 10500 and the other 6hp at 9000. The curve could be different as well. It would be interesting to see the difference.
